Who do you meet in Queenstown?

George says it is a bit like being a birder. Realising that here in Queentown and now in Te Anau there are many people travelling from many parts of the world we have started to ask people where they come from. The results are amazing. Michael has been keeping the list of places.  Most seem to be of average age about 30 or less - particularly those we have met hiking.
Here is a list of countries and places we have recorded so far where travellers and those working have come from.
France (Paris and Lyon),Germany,Denmark, Holland, Sweden,Switzerland,Czech Republic,Slovakia, Argentina, Columbia, Australia (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Canberra), New Zealand (Queenstown and near Christchurch), Canada (Penticton and Montreal), Israel, South Korea, USA (Austin- Texas, Boston, Virginia, New York), UK, Taiwan and the Phillipines.
It has resulted in some in-depth discussions with a few - like two Jewish friends, one was a real estate lawyer and one an emergency room physician who specialised in Hyperbaric medicine. A young couple from Canberra - she just qualified as a lawyer and he just starting his articling as a Chartered Accountant.
Only as a traveller does one get the opportunity to meet with such a diverse group of people!
